Role: Cloud-based Computing Company supporting a wide customer base. Customer infrastructure projects and migrations from design and requirements stages to implementation, testing deployment and ongoing support. Running with customer focused and required projects including Infrastructure upgrades from legacy systems to external systems being on-boarded. These comprise of but are not limited to Exchange upgrades/migrations from 2003/2007/2010 – 2013/2016 or external mail clients and co-existence, Complete customer network migrations including AD, File and storage, Exchange, Applications, ISP and internal networking such as Switches, VLANs, VOIP to new Physical or virtual server environments including Hyper-V blade environments and tenanted systems. Internal company Datacentre core upgrades and infrastructure design/implementation including projects such as resilient and failover tenanted AD, exchange 2013 DAG, SAN, HA file server and RDS services. Webserver deployment adhering to PCI DSS compliancy. Blade and clustering improvements and upgrades from 2008 to 2012 R2 Hyper-V cluster environments.

Supporting over 1800 users in over 120 + sites across the UK.
Supporting Applications: Workspace, Ebis, Open accounts, Open people, Active directory, Exchange 2003/2010, Windows server 2003/2008/2012, mimesweeper, cisco VPn, securenvoy, Win XP/7/8, Sharepoint Administration.
Daily responsibilities: 1st line IT support via phone, email and web.

UIA Insurance Ltd (Professional placement) - Worked as a Windows/Network administrator at an FSA regulated insurance company. (Professional Placement) References available on request.
Projects and responsibilities undertaken in my professional placement year:
- System support including XP and 7 desktop, server and peripherals.
- Windows/Network administration, working on windows XP, 7 servers 2003 and 2008R2 also assisted server Re-builds, setups and installation.
- Helpdesk, call logging and ownership.
- Active directory create/delete/group policies and logon scripts, maintaining the user’s network and updating DNS records.
- Database MySQL (for intranet) and email administration Exchange 2003. (Setting up rules and mailbox size observation plus email archiving for users.)
- Telephony administration, Avaya VOIP system and assisted the upgrade from old system to the Avaya system.
- Daily back-up tasks both backing up and restores, using Norton Symantec backup software.
- Updated the company’s intranet using HTML and PHP. (Incl. communicating with all levels of staff and management to complete the project and ensure all requirements were met.)
- General computer machine office moves (incl. router and switch re-cabling/patching)
- Sophos anti virus administration and deployment.

- Hardware RAM and HDD replace and maintenance both server and desktop.
